Philosophy

Club Philosophy

  • Place the well being and safety of each player above all else
  • Allow all players regardless of ability to develop their football in a fun and positive enviroment
  • Ensure that taking part is fun, without fear of making mistakes and never let winning take over as the sole objective
  • Put all players long term development ahead of short term success
  • Help every player develop and learn social and life skills

Coaching Philosophy

  • Always display high standards of behaviour and appearance and readily promote respect in all actions
  • To respect and champion the rights of every individual player
  • To listen to every player and treat their comments and suggestions with respect and encourage open and honest exchanges between player and coach
  • Strive to improve our knowledge and keep up to date with new coaching methods by external and internal CPD
  • To promote a successful relationship between coach, parent/guardian and player

Playing Philosophy

  • To encourage all teams to play out from the back
  • To give every player regardless of ability sufficient game time on match day
  • To promote respect and fair play from all players and officials, before, during and after the game
  • To rotate players and encourage understanding of different roles within the team and progress individual development
  • To encourage creativity individually and as a team without pressure or fear of making mistakes
